Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Lindsay Carter Bombardier
As a life-long learner, I knew as soon as I entered Fort Mill Elementary School I wanted to be an educator. Growing up, my mom and dad helped nurture this passion and my two brothers (younger and older) became my very first pupils. To develop this passion into a reality, I attended Winthrop University, where I studied Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I began working in CMS as a Kindergarten Teacher, and later transitioned to a Literacy Facilitator role. I worked in CMS for the first four years of my career. This school year will be my sixth year in education and my second year as a Third Grade Teacher. While I am certified prekindergarten through sixth grade, third grade is my favorite so far! Other than my third graders, one of my favorite things about my "job" is sharing my passion with other people. There is nothing better than seeing someone else own his or her learning! When I'm not at the school house (which is rare) I enjoy spending time with my husband, Chad, and my four-legged son, Beauregard. Together we enjoy backpacking, traveling, and spending time with family. On my own, I love reading, creative writing, enjoying a good cup of coffee and shopping (Everyone has a weakness right?). I consider myself lucky to have been chosen for a career that is my passion. Although my mindset has not changed since my first days as a student (I still "teach" my brothers a thing or two), It is exciting to be an integral part in shaping our future.
