Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Cassidy Valerino
My name is Cassidy Valerino. I am the principal here at Northside Elementary School of the Arts! I have served as the program teacher, assistant principal, and now principal here at the school. Northside is such a special school! When I was a little girl, I took music and dance lessons. I continued to take music lessons as I got older and really have a passion for the arts. Here at Northside, all of our students get to learn in and through the arts in both the related arts classes as well as their core classrooms. Northside Elementary School of the Arts is a school of choice for The Rock Hill Schools where students from all around the district can apply to attend here and can attend based on the school capacity. Educationally, I strongly believe all students can achieve academically and I have high expectations for all learners. It is both my goal and Northside's goal that all students be active and engaged learners who are prepared for the 21st century.
Professionally, I feel as though I have been a life-long learner. I received my bachelor's degree from Winthrop University in elementary education. My first master's degree is in education with a focus in divergent learning from Columbia College. My second master's degree is in educational administration from The University of South Carolina. I also have my National Board Certification in Middle Childhood Generalist.
My husband and I have a precious little girl who is in preschool and stay busy on the weekends doing various family activities.
It is such an honor to be the principal at Northside Elementary School of the Arts! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at the school at any time!
